Tuan Anh Nguyen – BPharm, MPharm, PhD

Dr Tuan Anh Nguyen is an Australian NHMRC-ARC Dementia Research Development Fellow. After obtaining his PhD in public health and community medicine at the University of New South Wales in 2011, Tuan consolidated his research skills upon experience as a postdoctoral research fellow at School of Pharmacy and Medical Sciences, University of South Australia. He then taught health care management at School of Medicine, Flinders University before taking up his current fellowship.

Over the last five years, Tuan has attracted AUD 722,934 in research funding and has been a key researcher for other projects and consultancies worth AUD 252,500; has had 36 publications including two books and four book chapters; has had 11 conference presentations, three of which under guest speaker invitations. Tuan has been appointed to be a member of a number of national and international peak bodies and committees such as the Australian NHMRC National Institute for Dementia Research and the Sydney Southeast Asia Centre, University of Sydney. He was a convenor for the Generic Medicines Policies Workshop at the Asia Pacific Conference on National Medicines Policies 2012. Tuan has been invited and awarded seven scholarships to present his research at international conferences, and his PhD thesis has been published as a book by the World Health Organization.
